Hi everyone,
We are excited to announce a significant upgrade to our gateway event processing system. On January 19th, we will be transitioning to a new architecture for producing /events/gateway/online and /events/gateway/offline webhooks.
What is changing? Currently, our legacy event-processing component can be slow to react to connection changes, often missing short disconnect periods entirely. We are replacing this with a modernized system that reduces detection latency to approximately 30 seconds.
What does this mean for you?
-
Higher Accuracy: You will receive much more precise data regarding the uptime of your gateways.
-
Increased Event Volume: Because the system is now sensitive enough to catch short-term connectivity drops, you will likely see an increase in the number of webhook calls.
-
Action Required: If you have gateways with unstable connections (e.g., poor cellular signal), you may see a βchattierβ event stream. We recommend reviewing your webhook consumers to ensure they can handle a higher frequency of events and that your own notification logic (if applicable) accounts for short-lived offline states.
This change is part of our ongoing commitment to providing more reliable, real-time data for your integrations.
